ShiNE communications group

A group of communications officers from North East local authorities are working to shape and deliver the ShiNE Awards 2008.

Jan Hillary, Chair of the group, said:

“The ShiNE Awards 2008 are a first for this region. The awards aim to celebrate best practice, achievement and excellence in all areas of our work and services for local communities.

“Entry to the competition is free and submissions are welcome from individuals, sections, departments across the full spectrum of disciplines and there is no limit to the number of entries an authority can enter.

“I hope that all of the regions local authorities and fire and rescue services enter at least one category and I’m sure that some might enter all categories.
